Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous aromas and flavours of blackberry, currants, savoury, mocha. This wine continues to over-deliver. 90 Points. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The word ' Reserva ' on an Argentinian or Chilean wine label isn't necessarily an indication of quality. This Kaiken Reserva doesn't have this problem. This is a very good wine and it has lots to offer at $15. This Malbec has a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon and a whopping 14.5% abv. Warm climate indeed! Lots of dark fruit, blueberry, tobacco leaf, leather, bakers chocolate, toasty and warm. Some medium integrating tannins. Good acidity. Sip by a warm fire or pair with salted Argentine style beef.
Tasted: October 2014
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Kaiken Reserva Malbec 2011 is a smooth full bodied wine. Blueberries and dark fruit on the nose. On the palate, blackberry, black cherry and plum flavours. Very easy and enjoyable to drink! (89/100) Tasted October 27, 2014
