Reviews and Ratings

RESERVE / A spritely acidic attack on this medium-bodied BC white wine made from Pinot Gris grapes. Aromas of white pear and some lime. Pair this wine with feta cheese or roasted chicken. MINE: Concentrated pear and minerality on the nose this British Columbia, Okanagan Valley Pinot Gris from Mission Hill is zesty with some leesy minerality on the palate. The Reserve 2014 was one of six finalists for Canada's best wine to pair with feta cheese. OTHER: Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review: Has a golden color. Floral and peach aromas with a crisp citrus flavor on the palate. As the flavor develops a touch of earth-minerality appears and lingers into the finish. OTHER: The Reserve series is a mix of 30 diverse microclimates, using only the top 15 percent of fruit coming off the estate vineyards. In 2017 15 percent of the selected Naramata fruit was barrel fermented and aged four months in oak, five percent of which was new, and ten percent neutral. The result is a wonderfully textural and fresh white with citrus sprinkled ripe stone fruit and ginger spice. Very food friendly. Is Naramata the pinot gris sweet spot? Score - 89 (Anthony Gismondi, gismondionwine.com, Nov. 23, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
