Reviews and Ratings

RESERVE / Full-bodied BC Cabernet with lots of cellar potential. Aromas of cassis and black currant. Firm tannic grip so leave in the cellar a few years at least then decant for 2 hours and pair with a rare steak. OTHER: Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Gorgeous! Deeply concentrated, silly smooth medium plus integrated tannins, well balanced. Raspberry, black sage, rosemary, underbrush. Paired well with seared filet mignon and roasted fingerling potatoes. Tasted 2015 vintage in Oct 2017. 92 points. BespokeTastings. OTHER: Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Incredible value for such a gorgeous wine. Ripe berry aromas and juicy concentrated fruit forward, smoke and allspice flavours on the palate. Lovely developed (medium) tannins and superbly integrated acidity. Enjoy with braised beef short ribs. Tasted Oct 2017 by @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca. OTHER: Since its founding in 1981, Mission Hill has been a mainstay of the British Columbia wine scene. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is perennially structured and concentrated, with rich black fruit, cassis, vanilla, earth, herb and smoke notes. This wine will be a great choice for aged cheddar or grilled steaks and will reward 3+ years' patience (Vintages Panel, updated). - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
