Reviews and Ratings

Meg Charette - WSET ADV rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This full bodied, intoxicating cherry BOMB displays a diversity of cherry notes intensely present on the nose and palate; from black cherry, to stewed red cherry, to a smoked cherry jubilee. Tannic plum skins, chocolate covered raisins, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon and spicy ginger also adds complexity to this blend. Well balanced, luscious, robust, cheek gripping mouth feel, with a tickling sensation on the tongue of spicy ginger and alcohol. Long finish of a smoky, spicy cherry bomb.
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Nose of Dr. Pepper, dull herbs, bacon - and lots of dark plum jam.

Warm and jammy throughout on the palate, with lots of lush jammy fruit and vanilla.

An easy-drinking Zin for the patio crowd.

Tasted October 2018.
Michael David Winery Seven Deadly 2015 is a full-bodied Lodi, California red blend with lots of smoky oak, pepper and blackberry and cherry compote flavours on the palate -- a little warm as well at 15% abv. Pair with food. Smokey, grilled ribs would be deadly. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
