Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Mascota 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon from Mascota Vineyards, harvested in the Mendoza region of Argentina, is a solid wine. Full-bodied with well-dosed tannins, the wine offer flavors of raspberry, berry jam, black pepper, tobacco and oak. Perfect match for Argentinean meat. Enjoy. Tasted at the Argentina wine tasting June 2019.
Somm4All WSET 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

When thinking of red wine from Argentina, Cabernet Sauvignon may not be the first or even second varietals that come to mind, however the climate & high-altitude vineyards allow for Cab Sauv to indeed thrive here and it is widely planted. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of cherry & cassis, along with dark plum and fresh earth. On the palate the same cherry 7 cassis notes come through with some baking spice, eucalyptus and sandalwood. Medium-plus in body and dry, this fruit forward and medium tannin red would pair nicely with marinated grilled striploin.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
