Lovely richness, balance and vibrancy in this Old World Burgundian Chardonnay. This is a collaboration between French vigneron Marchand and the Niagara winery Tawse. Toasted almond and hazelnut on the nose. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes with lemon sauce, seafood, oysters on the half shell with strawberry mignonette.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Pascal Marchand, Marchand-Tawse Chardonnay (2015) is produced from Chardonnay wine grapes from 35 year old vines from the famous butte de Corpeau, located at the foot of Puligny and Chassagne Montrachet vineyards. Pascal Marchand has been working in Burgundy since 1983 and collaborates with Ontario winemaker Moray Tawse to produce this stellar Chardonnay. Look for lemon curd, ripe apples, almond and hazelnut flavours on the palate on this weighty and zesty Chard. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
