Natalie's Score: 93/100

Zuccardi consistently over-delivers on the taste-price ratio, and this wine is no exception. The 2014 vintage is a beautifully supple, full-bodied, smooth Argentine red wine blend of mostly Malbec with 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from Altamira and Gualtallary. It fermented in concrete vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in large oak foudres. Enjoy now and for the next five years.

Malbec food pairings: farmer's style pork chops, slow-cooked pork ribs, crown pork roast.

Reviews and Ratings

José Zuccardi 2014 is a full-bodied, smoky Malbec from Uco Valley, Mendoza. The 2014 José Zuccardi is mostly Malbec from La Consulta with 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from Altamira and Gualtallary. Zuccardi consistently over-delivers on the taste-price ratio, and this wine is no exception. Ripe dark berry fruit, earthy violets and savoury spice flavours on the palate are matched with great acidity for food. Pair with a roast shoulder of lamb. Named after Sebastián Zuccardi's father, José, this is a first release under this label. - Community Wine Reviews
