A lovely, juicy, medium-bodied, smooth-as-silk Old World Burgundian Pinot Noir. Classic aromas of dark cherry, smoke and earth. Juicy acidity for veal. Lovely.

Pinot Noir food pairings: chicken, braised lamb, roast beef, rosemary pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This Burgundy A.C. Pinot Noir does it just right! Very fragrant nose with cherry, raspberry, forest floor, milk chocolate, vanilla and sweet spice. Balanced, layered palate replays these beautifully with satiny texture, food friendly acidity and elegant lingering finish- my fav kind of Pinot! Pour a glass and savour!

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Classic Bourgogne from a classic year. Lifted cherry aromas with a touch of earth on the nose. Sour cherries and spice on the palate. The lingering flavours built. Great now but age me 1 -2 4 years and see even a better wine.
Produced by Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume, Maison Chanzy (2016) is a medium-bodied Pinot Noir from the Burgundy wine region. Look for bright, ripe red cherries, forest floor, earthy florals and spice on this PN with a mineral vein running through it. Very approachable, drink now Pinot Noir to be enjoyed with grilled, herbed chicken breasts. - Community Wine Reviews
