This full-bodied, single vineyard Argentine red wine offers incredible depth, concentration and power. Black fruit and juicy goodness. This is a single-vineyard Uco Valley Cabernet Sauvignon featuring aromas of black raspberry and cloves. The vines for this robust Argentine Cabernet are planted in the foothills of the Andes. Finishes with dark fruit and toasty oak. Highly recommended.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled New York strip loin, barbecued ribs in sauce, braised pork shanks, strong cheeses, Margherita pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Bodega Piedra Negra Gran (2013) is the result of Fran├žois Lurton and his brother, Jacques. They started making wine in Argentina as far back as 1992, in the Alta Uco Valley, at the foothills of the Andes and was the first wine made when they arrived in Argentina in 1992. They quickly discovered the potential of Cabernet Sauvignon in Argentina, In 1996 they planted Cabernet Sauvignon in their Finca Chacayes in Vista Flores. Today 10 to 15% of Malbec is included to give it even more of an Argentinean character. This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Uco Valley in Mendoza is a full-bodied single vineyard red with incredible power. Lots of black raspberry, spice and tannins. Needs some to time fully realize its potential. Decant for a couple of hours prior to serving or cellar for three years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
