Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

250 cases produced. SOLD OUT. 30% Pinot Noir from Naramata was harvested early on 2/9/2015 to retain acidity. 70% Cabernet Franc was harvested on 20/10/2015 from a wild Vineyard in Osoyoos. Maceration for each was 3 days. After natural fermentation, the wine was aged on lees for 35 days and then another four months in stainless steel. On the palate, there are refreshing flavours of strawberry and cherry. The finish is dry to this “bigger” than average rosé . 22 g/L residual sugar.
Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This rosé is made from 70% cab franc and 30% pinot noir, and characteristics from both grapes come through nicely. Colour is medium-deep salmon with an orange hue. The aromas are of fresh raspberry and cherry, tart MacIntosh apple, orange peel, and white pepper, with slight touches of bell pepper, grass, and earthiness. Repeats on the medium-bodied palate, with the fruit coming across as both ripe and tart. There is a pinch of residual sugar, but the high acids balance it out, so it serves to fill out the mouthfeel and add viscosity. The finish is good length, with the orange peel and white pepper lingering. Tasted Aug. 2016. Pair with barbecued chicken, or perhaps chicken kabobs featuring bell peppers.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
