Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This particular night, I was definatly in the mood to treat my taste buds to a little decadence, but I also wanted to be challenged a little and this wine came up trumps!

The colour is a dark purple colour and the wine lingers seductively against the side of the glass.
On the nose, well...I have to say I was initially stumped ! I simply couldn't distinguish any one essence, that is how incredibly well balanced it's delivery is. The wine had been airing for almost two hours and I truly feel like I got the best treat at this particular amount of time that had elapsed.
I had never been introduced to the first note being an earthy mushroom presence . Silky subtle raspberries, black berries and plums.
On the palate...wow! Raspberries, cherries, plums stepped forward to make their initial introduction.
Dark chocolate noisette gracefully introduces itself, and by now I am very, very happy! When I can pull myself together, the wine transitions into a white pepper presence and then a herby energy of sage and ending with a touch of mint. There is perfect dryness and acidity I the mouth with delicious length tannins

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
