Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Smoky plum with a touch of cocoa and dried herbs. The taste is mainly plums with a bit of the cocoa coming through, and juicy acidity. Lush mouth feel, and a juicy plum finish. An excellent value wine, especially paired with a salty pizza.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Luccarelli Primitivo 2013 is a good wine for pizza night! This good value wine features cherry, plum and spice. Tasted on December 11, 2015 (86/100)
Primitivo is the Italian cousin of Zinfandel and delivers that same berry ripeness and fleshy purple plums in the glass. Great for movie night too. - Community Wine Reviews
