M. Chapoutier / A robust, delicious southern French white wine that's a blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeu, 10% Marsanne grapes, with the remainder being Vermentino grapes. The 2015 vintage of this Cotes du Roussillon les Vignes de Bila Haut Blanc offers terrific aromas of white peach, lime zest, spice and toasted almond. Pair with roast chicken. MINE: Oysters Rockefeller anyone? Produced by M. Chapoutier, from the Côtes Du Roussillon in the Midi, Bila-Haut XXXX is fine-tuned blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeu, 10% Marsanne and the balance Vermentino. This is an amazingly easy-to-enjoy wine at an amazing price. OTHER: The 2016 Côtes du Roussillon Les Vignes de Bila Haut Blanc is a blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Macabeu and then smaller amounts of Marsanne and Vermentino. From a mix of estate terroirs (schists, clay, limestone and granite), it has racy, vibrant aromas and flavors of lime, salty minerality and white peach. Medium bodied, seamless and incredibly drinkable, it's absolutely worth buying. Drink Date: 2017-2018. Score - 89-91 (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, April 28, 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
