Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black cherry, fig, and hints of dried herb and tobacco. Full bodied, with soft, dusty tannins, ripe cherry and berry notes, and hints of tobacco and dried herbs. Enjoy with marinated flank steak.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lealtanza Reserva 2015 shows the delicious attributes of a Rioja wine. Made from 100% of Tempranillo, the wine offers aromas of sugarplum, raisin, mustard seed, pastrami, cigar box, cocoa and cedar. Full-bodied, this Spaniard exposes balance and a fruity finish. Palate: sour cherry, strawberry, black pepper, wood-burner, cinnamon and cedar. Enjoy.
From the Rioja wine region, Lealtanza 2015 Reserva Tempranillo is elegant and supple with dried cherry, raspberry, leather, oak, mocha, smoky vanilla and a touch of anise spice flavours on the palate with good acidity for food. Tannins are soft. Pair with olive tapenade or tourtière. - Community Wine Reviews
