The magnum size of this wine that's equivalent to two regular 750 ml bottles. Full-bodied with black fruit and mouth-watering acidity. This is the second label of the Super Tuscan producer Ornellaia. This red wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The wine was matured for 1 year in French oak. Finishes with leafy blackberry fruit, spiced red fruit and cassis, with fresh earth. Pair it with a medallion of tenderloin in a reduced red wine sauce. Decant for 1-2 hours. Great cellar wine.

Merlot, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: prime rib, New York strip loin barbecued ribs in rich gravy.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
