Assessed by: Keith Robinson

Tasted: October 2014

Product Details: Parrina, Tuscany, Italy 14% ABV, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon

Parrina is a tiny appellation on the coast of southern Tuscany. The farm La Parrina is the largest producer of wine in Parrina. La Parrina also produces cheese, olive oils, almonds, figs, some grains, fruit and vegetables. 'Muraccio' is the name of the vineyard.

The tasting: Dark plummy nose with intense blackberries. Full bodied. Round on palate and plush texture. Very drinkable, good glug.

Drink now.

Food pairing: Cold cuts. Older hard cheeses.
