Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Big aromas of ime, gooseberry, canned green vegetable and hay make this an great example of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc style. This is a wine that really can't be mistaken for anything else. The taste is lime, gooseberry, & pineapple and is quite consistent with previous vintages. This might have a touch more viscous mouth-feel. An excellent wine as usual.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Always a favourite. Classic NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp with grapefruit citrus, asparagus, green beans, guava, fresh grass and cut pineapple skin fruitiness. These are brightly reflected and echoed on the palate with green apple and tangy nectarine. Acidity is high and mouthwatering, balanced perfectly with a dry fruit forward finish. Pair with herbed pork bites and coleslaw. 91 points - Tasted May 2016

Beautiful complex nose full of passion fruit, guava, interlaced with sweet herbal tones. Mouthwatering citrus, lemongrass, leading to a long tart fruit finish. Year after year, Kim Crawford manages to produce quality wines at a great price that are enjoyed by all.

August 17, 2014: Pale straw, herbaceous notes of asparagus, canned beans surround a core of citrus and tropical fruit. Crisp with citrus lemon, grapefruit and apricot is mouthwatering with a long finish. Light bodied, this would work well with as a summer sipper, or try with salads with a citrus influence.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious, classic example of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Pale colour, bright and tart notes of citrus, gooseberry and green apple on the nose and the palate. Acidic and refreshing, tart lime flavour comes through as well. Yum!
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Consistent quality and typicity for this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. All of the boxes are ticked: citrus, grass, zest, green apple, fresh green pepper and yes, catty.
Acidity is mouthwatering. This is a steely and crisp wine. Bone dry.
Enjoy today with your favourite summer salad or well chilled on it's own.
