Reviews and Ratings

Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of plum, cassis, raspberry, smoke and cedar. It is full bodied with grippy tannins and high acidity. On the palate you get lots of cooked red fruit with baking spice. This will pair well with grilled red meats and hard cheeses. Tasted on November 17, 2019.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Aromatic and flavourful Merlot from California. 88% Sonoma, 12% Napa County. Juicy dark cherry flavours with slight touches of mocha and mint. Pair with pork ribs.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine evokes the feeling of velvet to me... very plush, jammy blueberry and blackberry, vanilla, milk chocolate and a wisp of smoke. Long vanilla finish and a touch of mint. Medium-full bodied, not a lot of acidity. Would pair with braised mushrooms or beef short ribs.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full bodied and jammy. From Sonoma county and Napa county (88% /12%), this Merlot delivers cherries, currants, coco, cedar and dried herbs. Showing an elegant ruby colour, this Californian has a long spicy finish.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Consistently good each year. Aromas of black plum, blackberry, mocha, vanilla, and warm spice. Full bodied and smooth on the palate with some light-medium tannins on the palate, luscious, ripe fruit, and a lingering mocha and vanilla hint. Enjoy with grilled pork ribs, or any slow-roasted meats.
