Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I had no regrets sharing this bottle with friends. It’s a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes from the warm Côtes Du Roussillon Village wine area in southern France, and it feels full bodied, super-dry, velvety, and plush to my senses. And somehow the high ABV in this creation doesn’t throw heat my way. The mouth feel appeal is satisfying in other words.

And there’s more to this sipping experience than that mouth feel appeal. There’s delicious, expansive expressions of jammy dark fruit and spiciness that team up nicely with some seams of dialed downed smoke, earthiness, and medicinal herbs.

FYI 1 – The blend breakdown for this vintage is 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 30% Mourvèdre

FYI 2 – The bottle hails from a region within the Côtes Du Roussillon Village wine area. The region is Côtes du Roussillon Villages Les Aspres, and that's why you'll see that phrase on the bottle's label.
Gérard Bertrand Heritage Les Aspres 2019 is a dry, spicy and full-bodied Côtes du Roussillon Villages red wine blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache. Fragrant with meaty, anise and dark cherry aromas, it is supple on the palate with a lingering spicy finish. So good now. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews.
