Toasted bread along with green apple aromas on the nose and palate of this classic Californian white wine made from the icon Chardonnay grape. Medium- to full-bodied and balanced. Very tasty. The 2013 vintage of this Russian River Valley Chardonnay shows its cool-climate regions roots, with the grapes being whole cluster pressed to avoid bitterness and preserve fresh fruit notes. This Chardonnay undergoes a full malolactic fermentation to add richness and depth. Pair with veal chops.

Chardonnay food pairings: scallops, beef bourguignon, grilled chicken breast, veal chops.

This Chardonnay undergoes a full malolactic fermentation to add richness and depth. Pair with veal chops. This iconic Californian Chardonnay sources grapes from the cool-climate of Sonoma's Russian River. Finishes with toasty oak. The Frei family has been making wine for 126 years, starting in 1890 with Andrew Frei, who immigrated to California from Switzerland. The winery was owned by the Frei family until the late 1970s, then bought by the Gallo family. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
