Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

One word – Delicious! Fort Berens Estate Winery 2020 rosé is a mouthful of bright and ripe wild strawberry flavours that go on forever intertwined with ripe raspberry, watermelon, soft orange zest, subtle fine herb and white pepper spice balanced with spot-on acidity finishing fresh and long. Produced from mostly Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the winery’s estate vineyards with some Cabernet Franc and Merlot from their fledgling Red Rock Vineyard.

The grapes were destemmed and crushed with 48 hours of skin contact giving the wine a pretty, bright coral pink colour in the glass and the wine juice was cold fermented giving the wine its fresh and juicy fruit flavours. Chill and enjoy this anytime rosé on its own or with everything from brunch fare, salads and charcuterie to veggie kebabs and salmon burgers from the grill. Tasted April 2021.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
