Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is such a pleasant wine. It comes in at $19 and as always, I prejudge based on the price, and I love these surprises when I unearth another wee gem! I was rather drawn to the label to be honest, and I bought the wine to make a gravy with to go with a roast beef, but half of the bottle was in my tummy when I realised I should save some for the famous gravy!

On the nose there are sweet red cherries, strawberries and rose hip.
On the palate , sour cherries, black berries, red currants, Logan berries and creme de cassis are the fruits then herbal notes of hay and thyme. There is a brief introduction of tobacco leaves before black pepper spice comes in before lengthy tannins. Great buy!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
