A lovely German Pinot Noir with aromas of fleshy ripe black cherry, raspberry and cola. Surprisingly high alcohol for Germen Pinot at 14% but it doesn't taste hot and is balanced. Smooth and supple. Pair with veal and game dishes.

Pinot Noir food pairings: rosemary and garlic roast leg of lamb, root vegetables and veal stew, pork cutlets.

Such great value at this price point! Red berries, slight vanilla cola and faint barnyard on the nose. Refreshing medium body ripe cranberries and underripe strawberries with mellow spice. It holds it own on a nice summer day served at 15 degrees. I really enjoyed it on a weeknight with a Dutch grilled cheese! It's good Pinot in the simplest form. Great to have more on hand for those hard days!

Tasted June 1, 2018. Colour clear ruby red. Legs medium plus. Aromas and flavours of black cherry, notes of spice, flat cola. Taste dry, medium mouthfeel, mouthwatering minus, balanced tannin with the cherry fruit. Finishes medium cherry cola. I like this wine because of the black cherry and easy drinking nature of this wine. I think it is a good value. I matched it with a cast iron roasted chicken and Dutch mini potatoes. Sprinkled with herbs De Provence and butter. The wine can handle the fat and still delivers that gorgeous black cherry taste. I would buy this wine again. I would like to try it with duck legs. Roasteted. Goat cheese. Yup inhences the cherry and brings out some spice. Serve this wine chilled straight from your wine fridge.

Eugen Altschuh 2015 is a well-priced Pinot Noir Qualitätswein from the Pfalz wine region in Germany. Pinot Noir is the most popular red wine grape in Germany making some very fresh cherry, ripe small red fruit and spicy PNs with a hint of white pepper.
