Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Very elegant on the nose, reminiscent of left bank Bordeaux in a warm vintage. Ripe cassis, graphite, tobacco, bell pepper and cedar notes make up the complex bouquet. The palate is fresh and full-bodied, with a firm structure yet rich, layered texture. Highly concentrated ripe dark fruit flavours linger on the persistent finish. The tannins are firm, yet plush providing an ample framework for this powerful red.

The tobacco and cedar scented French oak is quite prominent, but quite harmonious. This well-crafted red is already drinking well now, but will surely improve with moderate term cellaring.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
