Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

Wow.... if you don't mind spending $100 on an Aussie wine as long as it delivers - this is it. Flawless. Hugely extracted beauty. Full of complexity on the nose and palate. Precise aromas and flavours I will leave for you to discover. Ready now or could be aged for 6 years as it will plateau beautifully. A wine your guests will remember for quite some time.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

A rich and luscious Barossa Shiraz, crafted from hand-picked fruit. Aged over 30 mos. In French and American oak with further maturation in bottle, adding complexity and flavour depth. Highly aromatic with perfumed blackberry, cassis, vanilla, anise and touch of violet. Palate is rich, flavourful and velvety, with ripe blackberry on lingering finish. A joy from first to last drop. Fantastic gift wine.

Elderton Command 2014 is a single-vineyard Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. This is a made-for-game Shiraz grown on 120-year-old vines. Lots of ripe, tarry dark fruit, cake spice and creamy chocolate on the mid-palate finishing with a light smokiness from barrel ageing. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. Pair with a Tomahawk ribeye steak. - Community Wine Reviews
