Reviews and Ratings

Kimberly Inksater - Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This Shiraz is a step above the rest. Licorice, blackberry, pepper, and cedar aromas. It's dry, tannic and delicious. Leather, coffee and cocoa on the palate, full bodied with a lengthy finish. A gift from the Barossa Valley.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A big and tall Shiraz, from Barossa. Yum! It is a full-bodied wine but not heavy. It is spicy and earthy and contains layers of red cherries, liquorice, leather, and some wild flower aromas. Its tannins are firm but not clawing. Ready to drink now, but will continue to improve in the cellar. Would make a beautiful gift. Score 93. (reviewed Nov. 2016)
This robust Australian red wine is made from Shiraz grapes grown 120-year-old vines. The 2012 vintage of the Command Shiraz was aged 30 months in French and American oak barrels. This is the 26th vintage of producing this wine. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
