Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Goru Gold is a medium, almost full bodied blend of Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot. The bouquet is leathery with tobacco and elements of forest pine. Flavours reveal dried cherries, raspberry puree, red plums with toasted oak and dark chocolate on the long finish. Bright acidity complements the, grippy velvety tannins nicely. An awesome pairing for grilled pork and sauteed mushrooms. Enjoy!
From Bodegas Ego, El Gorú 2017 is a full-bodied red blend of Monastrell, Syrah and Petit Verdot from the Jumilla wine region. Monastrell is the dominant grape in this blend with its floral, ripe dark plum and mocha aromas on the nose. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate with ripe plums, dark chocolate and peppery spice flavours on the palate. Good acidity on this flavoursome red for game sausage on the grill or a rick pork roast. - Community Wine Reviews
