Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The Anderson Valley is the perfect place for growing one of my favourite grapes - Pinot Noir. Cool nights and foggy mornings blow off to warm days filled with sunshine. This climate allows the grapes to slowly mature which adds to their character. Duckhorn has over 200 acres of Pinot which speaks to how well it grows in this climate. Complex aromas of fresh cherry, plum, leather, and smoke. Made with 100% french oak of which 25% is new. Rich mouthfeel with flavours of tart cranberry. Tannins are still a bit rustic so this is a wine that will still develop over time. Long finish of fruit and oak. Tasted March 31, 2017 (California Wine Fair)
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Loved this Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley, California. This vintage just released and sure to be a hit, with its fragrant aromas and flavourful palate that gives cherry, blackberry, vanilla, leather, earth , spice and milk chocolate in a luscious, satiny texture. An ideal gift for a Pinot lover.
Tasted at California Wine Fair, March 2017

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
