Natalie's Score: 92/100

From Sonoma County, California Dry Creek Heritage 2018 Zinfandel is produced from old vines Zin, juicy with a mouthful of black cherry, purple plums, crushed raspberry, wild herbs, anise and savoury spice flavours generous on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained and there is great acidity for food on this Zin to pour with burgers and ribs from the grill. Drink or hold.

Zinfandel food pairings: burgers, ribs, cheesy pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2018 Dry Creek Vineyard Zinfandel, harvested in Sonoma, California, shows aromas of blackberry, raisin, pepper, new leather, spice, sweet tobacco and hickory. The wine is full-bodied, with delicious and well layered tannins throughout the journey. The finish exposes fine acidity and dried fruit notes, giving the wine great character. Palate: tart plum, blackberry, pepper, leather, spice, tobacco and smoke. Enjoy.
