Especially gorgeous for the price: this is my new party wine. Wow. Rich blackberry and black plum with mouth-watering juiciness and satisfying full-bodied weight. Winemaker Michel Torino is much-respected for his robust, flavourful Malbec wines made in the Cafayate region of northern Argentina. Some of his vineyards are planted at the highest elevations above sea level for viticulture worldwide, which gives them an extra dimension of balance and complexity. Pair with gourmet hamburgers tonight.

Malbec food pairings: steak, sausages.

From Calchaqui Valley, Argentina, a Malbec with plummy nose softened by floral violet notes. Plums on the palate with vanilla and soft violet, soft tannins on the harmonious mouthfeel. Long Damson plum finish.

Produced by Michel Torino Bodega El Esteco, this robust Argentine red wine is aged in new oak barrels for 12 months. Ripe tannins. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
