Julia Kelada rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine has a story behind it, and I love nothing more than a great expedition, to hunt down a wine with a tale!
For a recent birthday gift one of my sons gave me a book called " The Road to Burgundy" by Ray Walker. A person who doesn't understand nor like wine to begin with and who very quickly falls under the spell of, not just wine, but good wine! I felt his growth as I was captured by his writing and could taste the wines he was tasting. I ran to my lap top to search the prices of these wines he was tasting, $130, $220 my mouth was ajar. But....I has to taste one, even if I did t like it, I had to taste what was making so many gasp over!
Armed with quite a tiny budget in comparison , I set off to my local liquor commission, and trying to look very laid back about my search, I explained the mission at hand. When I mentioned that I was looking for a white Burgundy the sales assistant did stop mid way in her speech, and looked warily up at me and fixated on my seriousness. I thought I would narrow the margin of error!
"I only have a budget of $30" I explained " but I really need to taste the essence of Burgundy." "ah...ok then..." she seemed relieved, I had given her a higher budget than I think she thought I was prepared to part with," so let's go over to this section," I followed her, her step had quickened and she seemed quite excited.
"This one..." she said standing on her tippy toes and reaching for a beautifully labelled bottle " this is the wine that will introduce you to THAT taste that you are looking for, classic Burgundy but unique as well , this wine is only released once a year, this is perfect !"
I felt a little like I had just won a prize on a game show! I clutched the bottle tightly and thanked her. She asked me to report back to her to tell her how my first experience of Burgundy was!
At the cash the cashier took the bottle in her hand and quietly looked up at me and smiled.....
" ah...a Burgundy....and it's back in again!" by now I was wondering if I should just whip out my credit card and but the case! But I may need to save my reserves for tastings from other vine yards.
I was advised that although it was a white and needed to be cold it was actually better tasted slightly off the chill in order to truly taste each and every one of its notes. I followed my instructions meticulously.
And the we have it my story of my first Burgundy hunt....and what did I find.
Well I must be honest and say that this would not be a wine that I would usually put into my cellar, and what a crime that would have been. This wine serves an occassion quite unlike the other whites I drink. This is a crisp, fresh acidity almost mineral style wine, but oh how it woke areas of my tongue that I think had been lying dormant for some time.

On the nose there are mineral tones, the sweetness of fruits, kiwis, buttered pears and allspice.
The palate delivers a different energy all together, I felt like I was walking through a herb garden of a very dry, hot day. Notes of Lemon thyme, citrus lime notes, pineapples. The wine becomes dry, crisp and tart with bitter citrus fruits, but it is delicious, in the heat and the humidity of the summers heat, this wine rescues you. It awakens your taste buds, I makes your tongue want to be refreshed even more and with pairings of scallops and oysters oh......it is a new begining for me.
Above all else that I went through, I loved the journey, the lesson, the new awakenings. And now I want to discover more....what an expensive hobby this is indeed !

Bottoms up!
