Reviews and Ratings

Samuel James rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Huge animal aromatics at this point, leather, barnyard, iron fallowed by sun dried tomatoes and pepper. The mouthfeel is big but elegant. Nice long fruity and peppery finish. Reaching close to its peak. Drink now through 2018

Pairing: Duck Breast, Lamb
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Red and black fruit - blackberry, cherry and cassis, some black olive on the nose with more "animal", leather and sous-bois dominating. Some black pepper, spice and cedar - maybe a little eucalyptus , lifts off the swirl. Blackberry fruit on the palate with spice and licorice. Big mouth feel with smooth ripe and integrated tannins and a very long dry finish. Drink now.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
