Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Subtle nose leading with lemon followed by mild hints of peach and citrus blossom. Minerality on the palate supported by lemon and citrus. Light, crisp, and dry, a food wine highly suitable for a fresh greens topped with apple slices, almonds, and Savoie cheese.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Despite being in the French Alps Savoie's south facing slopes make it warm enough to grow almonds and olives. This Jacquère has interesting sweet grass on the nose. The palate is bone dry and smooth with lots of herbalness and lemongrass. Light and playful. Try it with fondue or light cheeses. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Domaine De L'idylle 2017 is produced from 100% Jacquère from the Savoie wine region. Primarily found in the Savoy, the grape is a high-yielding with aromas of lemon zest and mineral notes on the nose. Used in making Vin de Savoie, a light-bodied, lemon-zesty white. This example is intense with lemon zest on the nose, orchard fruit flavours matched in brilliant acidity for food. Ready to drink now. Chill and pair with it with a Capellini pasta, grilled shrimp and chorizo dish. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
