Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc. Deep dark ruby red, nose showing a wide array of fruit including small field strawberries, stewed red fruit, vanilla, pencil shavings, and roasted beets. Full bodied with delicious dark fruit, roasted beets, and soft well integrated tannins. Another exceptionally well balanced wine that would pair wonderfully with BBQ steak with Roquefort cheese.
Tasted January 2014. 91 pts. Matt Steeves
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

70%Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc. 80% of this wine is aged 1yr in new French Oak. Dark ruby and powerful. Dark red fruits, plums, black raspberries, graphite, vanilla, oak and mint.
Tannic with cellar potential of 10yrs. Full-bodied.
Winemaker suggested this wine is a great pairing with Roquefort or salted meat. I'm thinking Brazilian style BBQ! Decant 1 hour. Room temperature.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
