A plushy, juicy unoaked Douro red blend of 35% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Franca and 10% Tinta Barroca from Crasto. A small portion of the blend was aged for six months in French oak with the balance in stainless steel tank. Juicy and fresh with wild red berry, cherry and spicy flavours on the palate. Enjoy with burgers from the grill.

Food pairings: slow-braised brisket, roast goose, rabbit fricassee.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Douro wine region Crasto 2017 is a full-bodied and east to enjoy red wine blend of Tinta orris, Touriga Franca, Touriga national and Tinta barranca. Juicy with ripe dark fruit, cherry, cassis and anise flavours. Tannins are firm, structured. Decant one hour prior to pouring with a beef brisket or roast pork. Crasto (fortress) looks over the Douro Valley and has been in the Roquette family for over a century. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
