Liquid fudge and chocolate, mocha and espresso on the nose with sweet black cherry and more chocolate on the palate of this Californian red wine blend. Full-bodied, supple and smooth, and brought to us by Charlie Wagner and Caymus. Try it with Mexican mole. Very concentrated and intense with a long finish. Pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: chicken mole, rib steak, dark chocolate.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Wow. Bumbleberry pie filling, ripe and rich with an aromatic and dense fruit concentration with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Warm dark chocolate, ripe blackberry, plum on the palate with a medium plus finish. Pairs with saucy BBQ ribs, a California salad topped with fresh strawberry slices or an after dinner sip with a bumbleberry tart. Tasted April 2017. 89 Points
Brought to us by Caymus and produced by Charles F. Wagner, proprietor and winemaker, this is the 25th anniversary edition of this wine. There is no conundrum about how delicious Conundrum 2013 is with its mocha and chocolate flavours. - Community Wine Reviews
