A sublimely concentrated and voluptuous white wine: This is clearly one of Canada's benchmark Chardonnays. The nose offers enticing aromas of baked apples, hazelnut, toasted almond, green apple and Asian pear. Layer after layer unfurls on the palate. Dive in and don't look back!

Chardonnay food pairings: corn dishes, lobster in butter, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Lynn Van Der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Tropical fruit, buttered toast, rum-butter... yummy! This is one of those wines that is great on its own, but perfect with baguette and cheese. If you can cop a squat at the Closson Chase vineyards to enjoy this one, it's worth the drive to Picton, Ontario!
Gabriel Israel rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Absolutely beautiful!
Everything is so well done her - acidity, tropical fruits, mouthwatering and seet-bitter finish.
Deborah Paskus has IT!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
