March 28, 2014: Deep ruby, savoury nose with dried red/black fruit, eath, pepper, sagebush, tobacco/leather, spice, chocolate with a mineral undertone. Ripe fruit, tobacco, very dry and savoury, plenty of fine drying tannins, with balancing acidity and good depth and layers of dried cherry, currant, dried green her and wood spice. Medium full bodied, this has a long savoury and very drying finish. This benefits from several hours in a decanter and demands a fatty protein like an herb crusted rib roast or rib eye steak. 91+

88-90 ; this wine is WAY overpriced - it should have been priced around the $25 range wines, not $48. The wine is a good Cabernet blend (with Merlot and Petite Verdot). Full body, concentrated with dark cherries and plums flavors. Decant for 1-1.5 hours.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot … showing full bodied and reflecting its 18 months in new oak with gentle influences of spicy oak and abundant but soft, gently caressing tannins. Impenetrably dark garnet in color, showing black fruits on the nose, opening in the glass to reveal currant and blackberry fruits and, from mid-palate on, hints of blueberries. Long and generous with tannins rising with the fruits on the finish. Approachable now but best 2013-2019. Score: 94 Source: Daniel Rogov, haaretz.com
