Bargain Bordeaux! Classic signature with smoke, cassis, blackcurrant, dark earth. Smooth and supple with just the right amount of toasty oak. Decant for 2 hours.

I opened this 2010 vintage in 2022, and my senses thanked me immediately. I'm drawn to the contemplative characters in this Bordeaux red. I’ll explain what I mean.

When in my glass, the aromas are mature and compelling. Think red fruit that’s mellow and ripe - especially cherries and currants - and infused with sweet balsamic, cigar box, and oregano. The flavours are mature and low in intensity, but they’re delicious. They taste to me like sour red cherries and savoury spice. The mouth feel is pleasing, too. Medium bodied, tongue coating, super dry, and dialed down tannins.

I'll pair this with hard cheeses.

PS - This Bordeaux features Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.

Tasted in 2020. Still a lot of primary fruit aroma including red cherry and currant, along with some dried herbs, eucalyptus, graphite and smoke. Full bodied on the palate, tannins are still present but likely softened over time. Fruit is still quite fresh with some dried, herbaceous notes and oak and smoke on the finish. Still tasting great but i would drink in the next year or two if you do like that ripe fruit. Enjoy with grilled meats.

Deep ruby colour. On the nose, rich strawberry aromas intermixed with scents of blackcurrant and spices. Full-bodied with pleasant sucrosity and medium-full supple tanins. Long and pleasant finish. Very fine wine pleasant to drink young thanks to its fruit and roundness.
