Julia Kelada reviewed this wine as follows:

Recently I was invited for supper and this was one of the bottles of wine that I brought. I never like to take notes and do a wine tasting at someone's house, which can sometime be frustrating if I stumble across a one of a kind delicious gem! This wine was graciously opened and It was so delicious that I went back to the store to buy more and to do my wine review on it. Sure enough, that even without the ambiance of the evening and the delicious canapés, it still tasted as delicious as first remembered!

It has a wonderful depth in colour. On the nose there are cherries, blue berries, raspberries , Cinamon, thyme and cigar box.
On the palate, cherries, blueberries and red currants followed by crab apple jelly. Herbal notes of thyme and rosemary compliment the fruits before tobacco leaves make their presence. There is a taste of wet wood and white pepper and finally delicious well rounded lengthy tannins give this fruity yet dry wine a curtain call! Bravo!

Bottoms up!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
