Natalie's Score: 88/100

From Château des Charmes in Niagara-On-The-Lake wine region, the 2015 Old Vines Riesling is made from grapes sourced in the winery's estate vineyards. The Riesling is showing some maturity with mineral and petrol notes on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry with layers of ripe stonefruit, apple, lime and lemon zest flavours matched by a bracing acidity. Château des Charmes planted their first Riesling vines in 1978. Pair with rich seafood dishes.

Riesling food pairings: grilled chicken with lemongrass stalk, spicy pasta dishes, shrimp tempura, grilled salmon with lemon sauce, duck liver pate.

From Château des Charmes in Niagara-On-The-Lake wine region, the 2015 Old Vines Riesling is made from grapes sourced in the winery's estate vineyards. Well-priced below $20, this Riesling is showing some maturity with mineral and petrol notes on the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry and there is honeyed, ripe stone fruit, apple, lime and lemon zest flavours matched by mouth-watering acidity. Château des Charmes planted their first Riesling vines in 1978, and it's from these mature vines that this wine is produced. Pair with maple-smoked salmon. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
