Natalie's Score: 92/100

Produced from mainly the Négrette wine grape with Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay and Cabernet Franc. Love the crushed ripe red cherry, plum, strawberry, rhubarb flavours on the palate with just a smattering of spice and dried herbs. Balanced acidity and a perfect pairing to baked ham or barbeque chicken.

Rosé food pairings: strawberry spinach salad, roast turkey, veal scaloppini.

Reviews and Ratings

Pam Hatton rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale copper-salmon hue leading you to think this rose will be shy. Even the restrained nose of red fruit, strawberries, citrus and rhubarb lead this way. The surprise is on the palate with a viscous body and those flavours of strawberry, rhubarb, a touch of spice and citrus pith. The fresh acidity cuts the body and leaves a juicy refreshing finish with a hint of bitterness. Great value wine.
A great value rosé from Fronton, Southwest France under $15. Château Bellevue La Forêt 2018 is fragrant and juicy with strawberries, raspberry, red currant and citrus spice flavours on the palate. Finishes with mouth-watering acidity. Produced mostly from the Negrette wine grape which first appeared in the Southwest in the 12th century and is believed to have originated in Greece. Chill and pair with barbequed ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
