Reviews and Ratings

Marcia J. Hamm rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Not just any critter wine. I'm vehemently opposed to them, but these are well made and well priced wines from Languedoc in Southern France. From Clos de l'Amandaie these are Pay D'Oc wines (Country wine, which are never slouchy!) in all shades: white, pink and red. "Pitre" translates to "Clown" but I prefer to call this wine "silly cat" as opposed to "clown" cat. The usual suspects of Syrah (40%), Grenache(30%) and Cinsault(30%) make up this wine, and it's seriously easy to drink. Red fruits of raspberries, cherries and currants with some blackberries, and hints of spice. Easily quaffable for sure!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
