Bring you to your knees flavour: peach essence, sun-dappled pear and a host of heavenly green apple. A deep, resonant core of minerality and complexity. One of Canada's best producers of Riesling, if not the best.

Reviews and Ratings

Charles Baker has managed to do the extraordinary: top his 2010 Riesling in 2011, a much tougher vintage. The Stratus Picone Vineyard produces sublime Riesling fruit. The vineyard is owned by chef Mark Picone, and only 7 acres. Charles Baker is the winemaker and makes the most of this Vinemount Ridge sub-appellation climate and soil that adjoins the Twenty Mile Bench on Moyer Road in Vineland. The pink label for the 2011 vintage represents the fact that Baker is donating some of the profits from this wine to the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for cancer treatment. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
