Reviews and Ratings
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Late harvesting the grapes leads to fuller fruit flavours. This luscious wine opens with notes of Bartlett pear and Lemon meringue, along with candied orange peel, golden raisins and a touch of spice. Flavours echo the nose along with brown sugar, honey and hint of tea. Finely structured, with orange marmalade finish. Pairs superbly with Foie Gras or blue cheeses.
Chris Coughlin - WSET level 3 grad rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review: Aromas of pear/peach jam with apricot, flavours simular. This luscious wine will be Stilton Cheese' new best friend. I like.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: This dessert wine is a great alternative to pricey ice wines. Peach, pineapple, honey, a touch of spice and petrol, with a great vein of acidity to keep it balanced. Would pair great with a platter of aged cheeses; parmesan, blue cheese, and extras aged cheddar.
Terry Jeans - Certified S rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: Beautiful light copper colour, that has some exaggerated aromas typical of Riesling. There is some chemical, petrol and sweet apple flavours and aromas. There is enough acidity to balance the high level of sweetness, very delicious. For the price this is a real bargain, that should be served with some nice strong cheeses.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: A nice example of a good Canadian Riesling. This has the desirable 'petrol' nose as well as lemon, apple and peach blossom. The acid is bright enough to give this a nice balanced finish.
Kristin Perrin rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Peach / pear / honeysuckle / petrol / medium sweetness with balancing acidity Poach some pears in this lovely fermented juice and see what happens!
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review: I love dessert wine, but this one disappointed me a little. The nose was a little discreet with aromas of quince. Vivid acidity like biting in a green apple. The length is there but the finale is bitter (dried apricot) with a smokey layer that left me puzzled.
