Reviews and Ratings

Julia Kelada rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Ever on my quest to prove that Portugues wines, that used to have such a bad rap, are infact delicious and good on the budget, I have yet again found a delicious $20 red that is worth every penny and more!

On the nose there are jammy, stewed fruits. Strawberries, sweet red cherries and red currants. There is a delicate floral crab apple blossom with mineral tones.

On the palate, this wine initially has and animal note. Quickly delicious fruits of Strawberries and raspberries subtly step forward before an intense wham! of cocoa which holds court for quite a while followed by a delicate white pepper spice and then slowly wraps up with a classy tannin length! As I said, worth every penny!

Bottoms up!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
