Natalie's Score: 89/100

Ultra-refreshing with lime green aromas and flavours. Terrific acidity for food. Great zestiness. This winery's vineyards are planted in the middle of the Kamp Valley, which is 75 kilometres northwest of Vienna, and they face the Kamp river on steeply terraced plantings. The result is intense ripening during the days, with cool nights to preserve refreshing acidity. Try it tonight!

Gruner Veltliner food pairings: chicken, veggie salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Louise Wilson - ISG Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Textbook Gruner with concentrated green fruit, lentil and mineral on the nose and palate. Crisp and refreshing, unaoked with a generous length and a dry clean finish. A perfect sushi wine. Enjoy now through 2016. Tasted Jan 2014.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
