Benjamin Bridge Nova NV sparkling wine is produced in the Charmat method. This is a crisp, medium-bodied and wild-ferment bubble produced from Muscat varietals, Vidal, Seyval and Geisenheim wine grapes, fresh and aromatic with floral and ripe apricot, orange zest and mineral aromas on the nose; the wine is off-dry with lime-lemon zest, mango, apricot, ripe apple on a soft and persistent mousse. Chill and enjoy with spicy sushi or fish tacos. The "Nova" is in reference to Nova Scotia where the wine is made and "7" is for it inaugural vintage in 2007.

Sparkling food pairings: seafood tapas, steamed shellfish, grilled seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Vanda Jackson rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This iconic Nova Scotia wine is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

It is an off-dry sparkling wine made from a blend of Muscat, Geisenheim and Ortega grapes. The wine is made at Benjamin Bridge Winery in the Gaspereau Valley along the Bay of Fundy.

"Nova" - stands for Nova Scotia where the wine is made. "7"- represents the inaugural vintage of the wine which was in 2007.

The head winemaker, Jean-Benoit Deslauries, takes a hands-off approach to winemaking and allows the grapes to connect with their growing environment and carve their own path. As a result, each vintage has expressed itself uniquely.

It expresses rose notes and exotic fruit aromas like papaya, honey-dew melon and key lime.

The 2020 vintage is crisp and invigorating on the palate! It pairs well with seafood, sushi, Asian cuisine and tart berry desserts.

The 2020 vintage of Nova 7 is delightful, youthful, and lively! I recommend you give it a try. Salud!
Philippe Perreault - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The vintage 2020 is a blend of Muscat varietals and Geisenheim and Ortega.

A subtle effervescence and a clear pink/gray color with aromas of litchi, rose flower and lemon.

It's aromatic, balanced and long on the palate.

Pair it with cheese tray.
Serve it between 8-10 degrees.
Ready to drink but can be aged 2-3 years.
