Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I love a Barolo wine, and this is a good value. On the nose this wine has aromas of dried fruit and spice. A very smooth wine on the palate with flavors of plums and cherry and oak. A nice finish that stayed around for a while. A great wine with creamy pasta dishes and any tomato based dish.
Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I am a big fan of the beautiful wines produced in the Piedmont area, especially the wine made with nebbiolo. The DOCG of Barbaresco and Barolo reprensent what this Italy area has best to offer. And to find a good quality Barolo under 30 $ is rare. I "carafed" it for an hour before serving (I usually pour young wine with no shame to make sure they get lots of oxygen) and the result was a full and plush wine. This wine is refined, full of fruit with a finale on the bitterness. An excellent quality/price wine that will last another 5 years at least.
