Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Although we are into the dog days of summer, there is plenty of good white wine to try before autumn sets in. Something new -- almost a fruit salad in itself, is Bench1775, Chill 2012. Mostly Pinot Gris (46%) with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc, Bench1775 is a very aromatic white blend, and a great match for seafood with a ginger influence, or a maple syrup and soy grilled salmon; also think sauteed scallops with a fruit coulee or shrimp salad with chopped mango and a lime dressing. Any one of these would easily go well with the lime, ripe apple, apricot (with a hint of spice) and off-dry and long finish of this very versatile wine.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
